Editorial Team

EmpiresDiary is written by Obadiah. Each episode begins as an AI draft. He revises and fact-checks the writing himself, and an episode does not publish until he is satisfied with it.

Who Is Responsible For Episodes

Every episode carries Obadiah's byline. The first draft of each episode is produced with AI, but the published version is what he made of that draft. Errors and weak passages are his to fix. If something on the site is wrong, he is the person to write to.

Other named contributors can be added to this page if the project ever grows beyond a single author.

Obadiah

Editor & Author

Obadiah is a history enthusiast. After reading a lot about the rise and fall of empires, he felt inspired to share his learnings with the world as a way to keep learning, and to digest those learnings alongside other history enthusiasts. EmpiresDiary is that project. The series cover Rome, Byzantium, the Ottomans, and the Mongols. Each episode begins as an AI draft and is reviewed before publication. Accuracy is treated as an ongoing effort rather than a finished guarantee: sourcing and facts are reviewed continually, reader-reported errors are taken seriously and corrected, and the aim is for the history to get more accurate over time.
